as an Armenian, I'm against Turkey's denial policy towards Armenian Genocide.
I blame, Turkey and just the state NOT the people, because it's not their fault that they don't know.
If they knew what has happened during 1915-1918, they would be the first to put pressure on government to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
There aren't few Turkish intellectuals who speak out about Armenian Genocide today.
Denial policy of Turkey has reached the end, because no one except Turkey questions the fact of Armenian Genocide.

The biggest problem is that it would be a blow to Turkish national pride.
Segments of Turkish society are absolutely convinced that Turks, as a 'race', are incapable of genocide, and that Turkey should not have to apologize to a 'small, weak' nation based on some long-dead history.

It would, of course, solve many diplomatic and political problems. But Turkey has kinda dug itself into a hole by spending to much money and effort denying it.

Nobody wants to piss of their constituents and countrymen, overwhelming historical evidence regardless.

It was not a genocide.
If we admit to something that is not actually true, well then we can never make peace with our own people.
We already said, yes, there was a massacre, but it was a response to the uprisings of the Ottoman emperor, not the modern Turkey.
our first president(ataturk obviously) did say that we were free off the Ottoman empire and we didn't carry their mistakes or their victories anymore... It's justa part of our past...

Any "documents proving the Armenian Genocide" have a shelf life of few years at the most until they are proven false.
