Turkish people are originated from central Asia. Then they moved to the west. Therefore almost all central Asian countries are Turkish. They still use Turkish language (of course there are differences but the main sturcture is the same) and they have very similar cultures (traditions etc) to Turkey's.
About Ottoman, they tend to go west, so there are Ottoman roots in most European countries like Hungaria, Bulgaria, Greece, Albenia, Malta, Austria etc. |
