My favorite is Artichokes in olive oil but it is not only a Turkish food but a Mediterranian and Middle Eastern, as well. Therefore, I will go with my second favorite which is Hunkar Begendi (roasted eggplant puree with meat stew)
It is an Ottoman recipe which comes from the Ottoman Palace - Hunkar Begendi literally translates as "Sultan liked it" :)
There is a good recipe, if you want to give it a try :

There are too many, you know Turkish cuisine is one of the best of the world thanks to its variety and taste:-)
I would prefer all kinds of mezzes to begin with. Most of the time i eat the mezzes and don't have a place for the real meal:-)))
Haydari is one of my favorite and sigara borek.
Thanks for this very nice question. |

Döner with plain tomato sauce on it. Also İskender too, which is, in fact a kind of a döner. |

Qu'est ce que tu pense?

Doner is my favorite. It comprises of strips of pita bread, strips of lamb or beef, and is topped with tomato sauce and a dab of melted butter. It's so good! You absolutely have to try it at a Turkish restaurant. |

Hello John got a new motor,
I like my mums cooking but the one i really like out of the menu, is the, Dolma, meat diced by hand , not mincemeat, stuffed Artichokes, staffed wine leaves , staffed Marrow, and , staffed round green peppers, she normally puts pieces of meat at the bottom first before she lines the rest on top,
fantastic with side dish as Yogurt and coriander salad, bon appetit
Dont worry, I reported that little nasty person above me |
