My opinion of Greece... WOW.
The food is so tastey and delicious... so much great fresh right from the clear blue meditranean, the meat is so nicely spiced with nice herbs and roasted on a spit perfectly. The meditranean diet is the healthiest way of eating in fact!
The scenery is always panoramic... with islands everywhere, and at night all the huge stars and moon, with the islands and
there many lights dotting the ocean. The sea is incredible! great to swim and get your goggles on and take a look down there.
The culture and huge respect they have for elders... It's so great when you walk by,.. and you see all these old ladies sitting outside looking all sturn and sad... you simply say hello and it brightens there face soooo much!
The night life is amazing! So welcoming and not trashy like some american pubs. It's safe and fun and very crazy! those greeks can party!
The beaches are beautiful... super relaxing, and the stores are very nice to shop at for anything it is you want.
GREECE HAS IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does ellada mean for me? Well i try to explain though i know it will be impoessible in a few sentences.i am a half hungarian half german woman,born in romania so i do not have roots in Greece.Though i have visited the whole Europe I was never touched so deeply by any place like of Greece.I was standing on Sounion and i could not help stoping my tears to flow.It was a unique moment..there i felt at home.I had the feeling i was born there and i belong to that place.There is no place on the whole world like Greece.Since that visit i have found my soul mate..and you won't believe it..he is a greek man..a real greek. |

Hello dear!
Where can I start from? I need thousands of pages to describe my feelings about Greece!
From what I have seen from my travels and experience around the world, every "good" has its roots in Greece! There is not good created either away from Greece or not by Greeks!
Superb place, great people (exception the rulers stationed there!), The History, ....

It's magnificent... We visited in July/August of 2001, and after flying into Athens, we traveled by bus, ferry, taxi, pickup truck, scooter, and boat. We saw some incredible views and met some very warm and friendly people. The only problem was the heat! |

I can't understand what they ,exactly, mean by saying animal killers? I live in Greece. It is a nice country.OK every country has problems not only Greece. You find there nice and clean seas, delicious food,helpful people.You will have the opportunity to visit many many ancient exhibits and learn about the country who was the birth land of history,medicine,theater etc |

I have never been in Greece and I made my opinion from my friends who work in Greece and here on YA. This country is our neighbors, but I had information about them lake from some far far away country. People from Greece come in Republic of Macedonia, they buy clothes and food and from that I have opinion that Greece is expensive country and because they speak my Macedonian Language that means that they are intelegent people, or thay are Macedonian like me, I don't know. |

Well, the country is ok, but the ppl are so rude and non-hospital. I'm from Macedonia and I can say whenever I meet someone they always bug me about politics. People, try to understand that I go there to give you money and have a good time!!! Appreciate that!!!!
