I absolute LOVE Greece! I went there last November. I found the museums and archaeological sites very informative and educational. I got a kick out of reading everything I could since I have a vested interest in linguistics. Now I have to take the next step and actually learn Greek so I can figure out what I've been reading all this time. I found Greeks to be very friendly and well-versed in English, which made me feel a little guilty that I didn't know too much Î•Î»Î»Î·Î½Î¹ÎºÎ¬ to begin with. As I went through the tour, I could feel Ancient Greek history coming to life everywhere I went. I was absolutely taken aback at the sights and sounds of Greece, from atop the Acropolis looking over the entire city, to the strolls through the Plaka, as well as the one-day cruise where I visited Aegina, Hydra, and Poros. Here is the itinerary of the tour I took:

I bought a 1GB memory card two months in advance of the trip. I took 1,522 pictures and movie clips. The memory card can hold only 94 more pictures. Even after I downloaded the pictures to my laptop and burned 2 CDs as backup, I still haven't cleaned the memory. I will be sure to take just as many pictures _when_ I go back to Greece. =)

I have been to Greece twice and have done the entire site browsing in Athens, and have been to Mikonos, and Corfu so far.

Then the second time while in Athens, we hired a car and driver and with our ancient sites guide, he took us all around for three days. It was magnificent.

Once that was done, boarded a ferry from Perias (probably spelled it wrong) and went to Paros and then settled in Santoni for two weeks.

Breathtaking! Can't wait to go back some day...

I love Greece and have been 3 times. I like going in springtime to avoid the large annoying groups of tourists and I like going to places that are of the usual tourist circuit. I love going to the ancient sites and museums.

Beaches-clear blue waters.Deep sea adventures are the best.
Aceint -buildings monuments and U learn so much about it.
Shoping-U can find the best stuff.Lots of hand made stuff.

I've been there a couple of times, both the islands and the mainland. I loved it.

I know I know not

Greece is fine...But,once you travel abroad,you know that
everywhere is nice.Beauty can be found everywhere.After
all beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think it is a very nice country with great people and culture and everything!I miss it now that i study in The Netherlands (I am Greek..)
