Selyna

What are some international Turkish girl names like 'Lara' and 'Mina'?

Hey. Me and my dear husband need names which can be internationally used like Mina and Lara.

When I say international I don't mean the names which doesn't include Turkish special characters. I mean the names which can't be seen strange and very uncommon.

I.E. Burcu or Ceren also doesn't contain Turkish characters but they can considered quite weird abroad.
Thanks a bunch!

You can look up the meanings of the ones you like in google. They are all pretty names and I have quite a few internationally married couple friends who named their daughters with some of those.

Good luck:)

Suzan and Deniz are like Turkish styles of Susan and Dennis/Denise/Denisse :)

Ipek has a wonderful list.
My brother who is married in France has 2 children.
The boy is Jan- quickly changes into Can when he comes to Turkey.
The girl is Denise- Quickly turns into Deniz when she comes here.
If you are expecting, I hope you have a wonderful little girl or boy, and may you all be very happy..

P.S. 1..Are you looking for girls' name only ?
P.S. 2.Look through Baby names links. there are many. Search for names that have meaning in English and in Turkish as well.

Pink Atom
I agree with the person above - my name is Ela,
it is English and Turkish,
But the other person with LOADS of names is good.
Ela and Ella are basically the same, but different spelling and a bit of a deeper accent for the Turkish saying part.
In English Ella means FAIRY MAIDEN and in Turkish it is a very special eye colour, surprise surprise my eyes are that colour! (Hazel) OMG I JUST NOTICED HAZEL IS A NAME AND EYE COLOUR ASWELL! THE SAME AS THE TURKISH MEANING FOR ELA!!!
LOL
Excuse my weird random moments. They occur very often and suddenly get typed onto the keyboard! (By who I wonder)
I would chose Ela
(I wonder why???)

Edit: Ayşa would be a good one you can spell it Aisha and say it the same as Ayşa
All in 1!
