Talia

What are some nicknames for Natalia?

Since Natalia is supposedly a Russian name, I decided to ask it here to get some different opinions from the common American nicknames. It can be anything, common or uncommon.

(It's my name, though I'm not Russian. I keep getting called Nat - pronounced as 'net', and I hate it. It's not even the right sound. I'm thinking of going with Talia like my display name, but just want some more choices. What are some sweet/cute pet forms?)
Additional Details
oh and in case you were wondering, Natalia isn't officially on my birth certificate. It's just a name that my parents gave me since I'm Asian and would probably get a lot of problems with Europeans/Americans trying to say my name.

Family Guy
Probably it is not nicknames, but short and nonofficial variations are Nata and Natasha (at least in Russia)

You see, in Russian diminutive forms of names are not necessarily short and consequently are not necessarily easier to pronounce for a non native speaker of the language. So, learning the diminutive forms of your name may not be of much help to you :-). Still, personally, I like the two forms of your name: Natasha or Natashen'ka (n with an apostrophe (') means soft 'n' sound as opposed to the regular 'n' sound; all a's here are pronounced similar to what you pronounce 'u' in words like: but, cut). On another count, having looked at your profile I do not see why you do not like name Rui-Juan. Beautiful flowerbud is kind of cute name for a girl.

Edited:

I like Juan-Juan :-), but if the main concern is indeed the pronounciation difficulty then I would probably go with Natty, as someone above suggested, or perhaps Natalie (the latter name is just the English version of the Russian name Natalia or Natasha).

Edited 2:
1. Natalie (optimal for an English speaking country and still very close to the original Russian name; sounds cute too).
2. Natasha (my favorite, though this one is purely Russian)
3. Natty (this last one is purely English)

"Natty" is a friendly English language way of shortening Natalia.

Tasha

I like Talia and Lia personally, though Natasha/Tasha is really cute.
