silk scarf or throw (sp?) or evil eye.

My wife purchased scarfs for all her friends while we were there and they all loved them. Better yet they take up very little space in you luggage.

The evil eye is something you see all over turkey. It is kind of like a horse shoe (good luck) is here. They hang them all over the place to ward off trouble. They are usually no bigger than the fifty cent peice and they are not expensive.

NightmareSD
a person from turkey

wiseguy
Towels.

Grand Duchess LadyProtector
Anything that is nice but different, like a scarf or a purse or bag made of some special material you don't see where you live. We brought in a handmade 200 year old carpet. So it really depends on what you want.

Petros C
A painting of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Turkey's greatest hero and the greatest man of the 19th-20th century, according to Kennedy.

Shaun T
The giblets.

Rouge Kiss,Angel Tattoo

BuseTurk
Silk scarves (they sell a lot of them at the grand bazzar)
Nazar boncuk (evil eye, keeps away evil and protects you )
Turkish delights (they are so yummy and you can't find the good ones anywhere else)
A poster of Ataturk :)
A painting of Istanbul and the bogaz (bosphorus)
A Turkish rug (they are the best in the world)
Turkish coffee (it's the best but foreigners don't like it because it's so bitter)
hmm.. there's so many other things. You will see a lot of things you will want in the grand bazzar.

Amanda
