As in a tourist destination?? It's such a massive question, and all European countries have their own charm (much more so than the US because there is such a diverse culture) So these are my best 4...although in no particular order!

Ireland is a beautiful country exploding with culture and breathtaking scenery. The landscape is rugged and diverse and it's such a raw country. The people there are real characters and the Irish have real flair!

France is another really special country. The language really is one of the sexiest in the world and the combination of art and fine wines make it one of the top tourist destinations. Period.

Austria is an undiscovered gem. Ski slopes there are of the highest quality and with global warming, how long can we say that? It really has to be seen to be believed and nothing beats the experience of hurtling down the mountainside so fast your feet hop in your boots.

Portugal is a wonderful sun destination. The transport network is brilliant and the weather is perfect. I think Spain has sold its soul to the large tour operators and lost itself...but Portugal is really special and the cuisine is nothing short of amazing. One of the best holidays I've ever had.

I love Europe!!

to live in my number 1 would have to be ireland as its family friendly and has a great economy, for weather and great for a break id put spain as my number 2, for a great and interesting history id put the uk as my number 3 and for just being a quiet but stable country that annoys no one id put switzerland as my number 4
