Italians look much more white and similar to Macedonians. Greeks look more Middle Eastern/Arabic

Dellarovere
Greeks are very similar to Southern Italians, in all aspects.
And answering your question:
1. Greek men and women are more handsome and beautiful than Italians. On the contrary, Italians take care of their look more than Greeks.
2. Greek cuisine is far better than the Italian one.
3. Greeks speak foreign languages while the majority of Italians don't.
4. Italians have much better social manners than Greeks.
6. Central and Northern Italians are much more productive than Greeks.
7. Almost all Italians are fond of ancient Greek civilization, and can name many authors and philosophers, while the only Plutarch the majority of Greeks know is the singer.
8. Italians respect their historical, architectural, artistic and natural ambient, but Greeks don't.
9. Greeks are more clever than Italians but they use this gift wrongly.
10. Greeks have a much more fascinating folklore tradition (costumes, jewelry, dances, handicrafts etc) but they are not interested in it, while Italians are still preserving their poorer folk tradition.
11. Italians never make reference to their ancient ancestors (e.g. Romans) while Greeks everyday talk about the glory of their ancient Greek grandfathers.
12. Italians know almost nothing about politics and international affairs, being very conservative or indifferent, while Greeks (happily) have a justified opinion about all events taking placing.
And even more happily Greeks are much more independent than Italians as far as U.S.A. and NATO influence is concerned.....

A Greek and an Italian were sitting down one day debating who had the superior culture. The Greek says, "We have the Parthenon." The Italian says, "we have the Coliseum."
The Greek says, "we had great mathematicians."
The Italian says, "we had the Roman Empire."
And so on and so on for hours, until finally the Greek lights up and says, "we invented sex."
The Italian nods slowly and thinks, then replies, "that is true, but it was Italians who introduced it to women."

I will just add to what Dellarovere said that greeks dont leave easily their country to move somewhere else, while many italians complaining about the situation of their country today(because it is a legend that Italy is a paradise, we cant judge only as tourists)want to move away and to come to Greece...
The italian will sepak bad about his country saying that he cant afford it anymore, the greek will always find everything perfect in Greece(i do also)
The way of life is better in Greece, more calm, not so frenetic as in the north part of Italy, people go out more and there is more entertainment...
The behaviour of the drivers in the south part of Italy is exactly the same as in Greece...
But generally the greeks are more united in case of emergency, more nationalists,and more human than nothern Italians, they give you all their heart and they have so much the sense of hospitality...

I belong to the category of the greeks who would never change their country for anyother on the earth...

1. They call makaronia as "spaghetti" we prefer to call them "makaronia".
2. We eat a lot of a famous dish (pastitsio). It has an Italian name but such a dish is rather... unknown in Italy.
3. They are Italians, we are Greeks. Resistance is futile...

First of all, Greeks are Greeks and Italians are Italians. They are different nationalities, so of course they are different. On the other hand, there are some similarities too, since both of them are Mediterranean countries and close to each other.
Here are the main differences in my opinion:

1.) Italians have a more western mentality, not that typical Balkan mentality like Greeks;

2.) Greeks have some Turkish influences and Italians don't;

3.) Different language, food, music, culture, mentality;
(Italian food is my favourite, but I prefer Greek music BY FAR)

4.) Greeks are Orthodox and Italians are Catholic;

5.) Of course, Greek culture is older than Roman, and Parthenon is older than Colosseum, LOL (btw I really don't know why so many people misspell that as Coliseum).

I know I will get a lot of thumbs down for saying this, but if I really had to make some comparisons, I would have to say that Greeks are in some things more similar to Turks than to Italians. (Food, music, mentality, superstitions...) Sorry if you're offended by that, but I'm famous for always telling the truth, like it or not. As a matter of fact, one of my answers just got reported because someone didn't like the truth. Since I didn't see any reasons to be reported, of course I complained. Let's see what happens.

SUE
Greeks are Greek. They live in Greece (except for those that have emigrated to other countries) They generally speak Greek, unless they were raised speaking another language, though in many cases, even expats still speak Greek in the home...ummm. That's three things.

And Italians...ummm, are Italian. They live in Italy (unless they have emigrated to other countries). They generally speak Italian, unless they have been raised speaking some other language. All the Italians I know who were born in the US, are third generation, and were raised speaking English...few know much of anything about Italian unless they took lessons.

Greek food is heavy on lamb and yogurt. Italian relies more on tomato and heavy cream sauces.

What are you getting at, anyway? Sounds like a prejudiced question and an attempt to raise some prejudiced people. I think this actually borders on violation.
