What are the usual reasons you give thumbs down for?

you should not reprt somebody just because you dont like their answer thats just wrong. I only give thumbs down if its an obvious attempt at a question but totally wrong or is very incomplete and racist. but not all comments that appear to be racist are racist alot of people throw that word around and really dont understand what it means. I have been given thumbs down for giving the right answer they just didnt like the truth and I still get best answer.

I give thumbs down for the following reasons:

1. If I strongly disagree with the message conveyed in the answer.

2.If I sense that the answer is somewhat obsequious.

3.If the answer is only written to obtain 2 points.

4.If the answer is irrelevant to the question and if it is written on the account of supporting baseless historical, political etc claims (i.e answers written for mere propagandist purposes)

5.If it is something foolish and unnecessary (i.e the turkey gooble gooble jokes)

6. If the answer contains any kind of racially discriminating or offending material.

There are some users I dislike, mainly not from the Turkish section, but I never give thumbs down just because I am not fond of that particular person. On the contrary, I profusely give thumbs up if I think what has written is valuable.

I give thumbs down whenever I read an answer which I know to be factually wrong, which is patent nonsense, or which repeats verbatim something already written previously.

I give thumbs down to racist, fascist answers (I also report them) and when I disagree with the answer.

I give thumbs down for answers that are rude and insulting, don't pertain to the question, and that are incorrect.

if they insult, ridicule, provoke,
if it's a troll,
if I think it's a very bad answer

I don't give thumbs down to people whose opinions I don't agree with, after all, it is their opinion. I don't give thumbs down to obviously stupid answers also because some just do it for fun.

I only give thumbs down only to answers that biasely attack mine(I mean they go out of their way to give nasty comments about your answer), uncalled-for and hurting answers and comments, and bigoted remarks targeting any race or particular groups of individuals

They make me laugh too,we have too much of them in Turkey section...the reasonless thumb downers!

i only give thumbs down who gives silly and unrespectful answers and to the users that i don't agree with.And some of the users think that we will loose points by giving thumbs down,but we get points from thumbs up,we don't loose from thumbs down.

I usually give a thumbs down if the answer has no helpful information and completely doesn't answer the question at all. Or, if the person pissed me off by saying something stupid.

Otherwise, if they at least try... why give a thumbs down?

i agree with you 100%

i only give thumbs down when someone is being very rude
or uses a very disgusting language and intends to insult others with his answers
it never has to do with the user or disagreement with the answer
cause there is free speech...so i respect everyone's opinion

It doesn't matter if I disagree with the answerer, the way he/she express the idea is important to me.
