It is both Europe and Asia.
Instanbul is also called "the gateway to the east" because it is right in between the two continents. |

Separating Anatolia and Thrace are the Sea of Marmara and the Turkish Straits (the Bosporus and the Dardanelles), which are commonly reckoned to delineate the border between Asia and Europe, thereby making Turkey transcontinental.
Turkey is TRANSCONTINENTAL - ASIA AND EUROPE |

EURASIA! Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye), known officially as the Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti) is a Eurasian country that stretches across the Anatolian peninsula in western Asia and Thrace (Rumelia) in the Balkan region of southeastern Europe. Turkey borders eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west, Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan (the exclave of Nakhichevan), and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast. The Mediterranean Sea and Cyprus are to the south; the Aegean Sea and Archipelago are to the west; and the Black Sea is to the north. Separating Anatolia and Thrace are the Sea of Marmara and the Turkish Straits (the Bosporus and the Dardanelles), which are commonly reckoned to delineate the border between Asia and Europe, thereby making Turkey transcontinental. |

Turkey is in Asia and Europe. The only part that is in Europe is on the other side of the bridge in Istanbul which is Turkeys largest city on the most northwest part of Turkey. Most people consider Turkey to be in the middle east but since the middle east isn't a continent you can safely say that it is Asia specifically West Asia. |

Does it make any difference if she is in Africa?
Does it make any difference if she is in Asia?
Does it make any difference if she is in America?
Does it make any difference if she is in Europe?
I believe not... And I am a Turk... And what is your problem ? Why you are so much interested with the location of Turkey ? |

Anyone who is capable of asking this question on Yahoo Answers (Travel>Europe (Continental)>Turkey) should be capable of looking it up on internet and find out. I have doubts about your genuine interest in the subject. |
