Another place you should stay away from would be Poland, I am from there (and Canadian eh?) and I would not recommend going there, The prejudice level IS NOT as high as it used to be but there is 99% Polish people there.

I think that is the weirdest question! Go where you want. You get people with prejudices everywhere. The bigger deal you make out of it the bigger deal it will be.

Any place in western Europe is fine - in Hamburg there are more blacks than in many American cities. Europe is fun and Hamburg is my favorite city. I would not travel to Poland, the Ukraine, Berlin, Slovakia ....

i would say germany. most americans associate germany with nazism and racists but this isn't true today. my father is black and my mother german. i was born here and visit every summer and i can tell you that german people are probably the most accepting of other races and nationalities unless you are turkish or russian (no offense to anyone). you will probably enjoy yourself in any western european country but stay away from the eastern european countries such as poland, russia, etc. unless you know people there. racism is still very high in those places.

I'm black and European
I lived in Europe most of my life
But things are changing little by little due to the immigration
The young generations are getting used to see people of different race
Traveled to a lot of Countries (father was in the military)
The best for me are:
Luxembourg, Holland, France, Italy (getting very diverse due to immigration specially from Algeria) Spain (been there for 5 years, used to live in a remote village where i was the only black encountered a few racists ) Germany (but never went too deep), Denmark
The worst for me would be Moscow (very unpleasant memories)
Go wherever you want to go. To each his own.

UK, and France are ur best options. THe more blacks there are in a country the more use to blacks they are this is the best choice. But u shouldn't not visit other places cause you'll be discriminated. If you really wanna go somewhere go and who cares what racists think anyway..?

I wanted to say don't be ridiculous, you'll be fine, but actually not being black I don't know what it's like first hand in any of those countries.

The only thing I can say is you'll definitely be fine in the UK. Some people are probably racist, but in no part of Britain is it socially acceptable to give anyone hassle in public because they are black, for example.

I think the same applies to the countries you mentioned as well. The only thing that makes me doubt it a bit is that racial abuse has been hurled at black football players in Italy and Spain. I think in most situations, anyone who is a racist feels compelled by social pressure to keep their mouths shut however.

If you come to Serbia or Croatia you'll find little prejudice but you'll be constantly looked at because there are no black people there and they just love to see them because they think they're way hotter than whites. Which is a prejudice in itself, but at least you'll get heaps of looks from babes ;)

Greece, France....I'm from Greece so I know, I've visited many times France and there are many Black people.
Basically, in the most countries you will be welcomed (avoid Germany, I've been there too and I think it's not a good idea).
