Gosh what a pretty picture for the evening......
Ok so looking at the pretty colours - Turkey is in green and is somehow related to Finland & Latvia (who last time I checked were in Europe) and Russia- well this is a new one on me...
.... it's a blog - anyone can write (or draw!) anything they like - doesn't mean it is right or wrong!

The author even mentions some anomolies in the finding e.g. " Slovakia, for example, turns up in the middle of Italy rather than next to the Czech Republic where it belongs. Russia too is further west than its actual position and appears to be hugging Poland... But Novembre says that both exceptions are probably due to small sample sizes - "Russia" in this case was only represented by six people, and just one poor individual was waving the flag for Slovakia"
A survey based on a sample size of six persons or even one person per country is hardly qualified..... more like meaningless if you ask me

Every one had some problems .. point is are u spend time and effort for deal it or not. I can gave a simple example from my life. I had serious Anger Control "situation" but I'll spend lot of effort for fix it .. looks like ( In my humble Opinion ) u got a Hate Problem .. Honest u can't live that way, u shout see a doctor for get some mental support before this problem turns to chronically.

Honestly a picture does not always tell more than thousand words.
Reading the article accompaning it reveals the obvious - that people living in the same area have more similarities in their genes than people living apart. Historically seen it tells only one thing: Migration was not really an option. Travelling was for a long time an expensive and dangerous thing. Language barriers did the rest. So the poor stayed in their places because they could not afford moving and the others stayed because they were well enough off in the place they lived and had no need to move.
So this map shows only the following: People used to stay in the places they lived over generations and if you go back in time long enough you will find a common ancestor with almost everyone in your area.
So the map does not show that people from Turkey are genetically closer to people in Turkey than to others as people in Spain are genetically closer to people in Spain as to others. It does not tell us if people from Turkey are genetically closer to people from Sweden or if people from Ireland are closer to people from Sweden.
And finally the similarity of genes does not tell anything other about people than that they have very similar genes but that does not tell us anything about individuals.
And additionally that map cannot be taken as a reason if or if not Turkey should become a member of the EU. |

We're all different & I am glad, I would not want everyone to be like Europeans because thats silly. I think Turkish people can be really sweet & if you don't maybe you should just back off! |
