Well, I'm actually from Birmingham, U.K., but live in Xylofagou, and have a good mix of both Cypriot and Ex-pat neighbours. We have some really great Cypriot friends....and have also found starngers to be very polite and helpful!! We once broke down on the way home from the airport at about 1.00.a.m, but a Cypriot stopped, and took all of us ( my step daughter and her grandchildren were with us) and suitcases, all the way home, and picked my husband up next morning to get the car sorted out!! I love Cyprus and all of our good friends here!!

Yes! It is about time there was a specific section for Cyprus!!!!

They are proud people, care for their family, some lack sense of humour, often very generous.

Hi-We were lucky enough to have our Luxury Holidays in Cyprus this May at Elegant Resorts. {http://www.elegantresorts.co.uk/location/Europe/Cyprus.aspx}. We had a fantastic time - the people, food and scenery were amazing. Can't wait to go back!, Cheers.

field of innocence
They are very PROUD of where they come from. They actualy have overly-nationalistic views (most of them).
But overall, from my knowledge, they are pretty fun to be with.

Hi, sorry i have only just seen your question as i have been working, I an all of my family love the Cypriot people, we have been coming over to Cyprus for 20 years now and have made a lot of Cypriot friends. We always find everyone so friendly, i remember one year we pulled up in a remote village, the villagers got us chairs and sat us under a tree to drink the drinks we had bought that was our first experience of Cypriot people, they were just lovely, We also went to Pedulas and met a man who worked in Nicosia but spent his weekends in the mountains, every year after our first meeting we used to go back for a barbecue at his home, this happened until he died. We now visit one of our friends home near Larnaca, So as for me and my family you are all just lovely. We will be back in Cyprus in 6 weeks.... cant wait. Forgot to say i am from St. Helens UK.

All countries have very good people, and a few bad ones. Unfortunately, it's those bad ones that make the headlines.
I love Cypriots; Turkish and Greek Cypriots both. We are great and fun people. Very hospitable :)

oopps :))) I shouldnt have answered this being a Cypriot myself. By the way, isn't it time Yahoo opened a Cyprus section?

Hi Brother!!!

I only know one Cypriot but he is from London! He's funny.

My friend married him and they went to live in Cyprus. She couldn't get on there and didn't like the people she said. Sadly they broke up.

I have some friends from Cyprus!
And they are great!
Friendly, warm, hospitable, they respect other people's believes and the most important - not possessed with politics!
