I can only say what I been saying
they were never going to invade it was
an empty threat as is all their threats.
I am glad the US nipped this in the bud
quickly.
Citin your site as usually
is blank.
ADD:( Frankie B, the US has not threaten to
invade Iran. The US has imposed sanctions on Iran
to prevent them from advancing in nuclear weaponry.
If the "cowboys" had said they would invade Iran,
they would of. Turkey on the other hand has used
"threats" to invade as a manipulation tool to stop the
Resolution from passing..a threat is a threat even if
they had no intentions of ever doing so (which I knew). |

So this is where all the good looking Armenian girls
hang..........
Now about Turkey and its threats, if I were them I'd start watching my back, I just read the Iraq Kurds
are heated over threats made by the Turks and may take action against them.. Wouldn't that be a real kicker.. |

I am not surprised. Turkey has been USA's puppy (and puppet!) for several decades now.
Turkey's threat is directly linked to the US Congress - Genocide issue.
However, even if the US Congress votes in favour of recognising the Armenian genocide (quite unlikely though), turkey will continue to obey to Bush's farts. |

It's not the pressure from the USA. Turkey and USA have always had a very good relationship and always will. "No matter what." Turkey is a very important ally of the USA. Friendship between Turkey and the United States dates to the late 18th century and was officially sealed by a treaty in 1830. The present close relationship began with the Second Cairo Conference in December 4-6, 1943, and the agreement of July 12, 1947 which implemented the Truman Doctrine.
Turkey sided with the United States during the Korean War of the early 1950s, providing active military support to the U.S. forces. During the Gulf War of 1990, the Turkish Armed Forces contributed to the coalition forces, and Turkey supported the initiatives of the U.S. in the region. The country hosts the Incirlik Air Base, a major operations base of the United States Air Force, since 1954. Following its membership in 1952, Turkey became the bulwark of NATO's southeastern flank, directly bordering Warsaw Pact countries and risking nuclear war on its soil during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The U.S. and Turkey have had a Joint Economic Commission and a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement for several years. In 2002, the two countries indicated their joint intent to upgrade bilateral economic relations by launching an Economic Partnership Commission. In 2005, Turkish exports to the U.S. totaled $4.9 billion, and U.S. exports to Turkey totaled $5.3 billion. |

Ankara's animosity toward the U.S. has its roots in much more than a genocide bill.

Quick silver or whoever, you have answered only 3 questions all different subjects and copied and pasted the same answer in every one.
Your defiantly not an American, if you were you would know that Turkey and the US were never close friends.
As a matter of fact it was not to long ago they they proved that by not letting American troops enter Iraq from their borders.
The US has enforced the treaty that Turkey signed recently with Iraq which states they are not allowed to cross into Northern Iraq to attack the Kurds (its about time the Turks started to follow the rules!) |

WHY OH WHY when a country (USA) starts a war thousands of miles away in the name of "anti terrorism" it is called the last option. And when a another country (turkey) tries to protects its country against terrorists the americans are offended and see it as a victory when they stop it under presure.
Is the united states the only country to use force?? |

To start with, who said that Turkey really intended to invade Iraq...? And if they will, you think they will tell you? You rather seem not to understand basic principles of geopolitics and diplomacy.
By the way, when will Americans invade Iran? The cowboys seem to threaten Iran for 3 years now...Or does Russia make them change their mind? :) |

It looks like HR 106 is not going to be voted on Pelosi, schiff and others took millions from you guys promised you it would go to a vote and promised it would pass. Turkey suggested that if it passed they would invade Northern Iraq to stop the PKK. Then miraculously Congress men and women withdrew their co sponsorship and now it's not going to the vote and Turkey has suggested they may reconsider going into Northern Iraq what does that tell you ???
Now I like a challenge and a battle of the wits but I won't battle against unarmed individuals if you get my gist. |
