All over the Middle East , people plant seeds of chickpeas, wheat grains, beans and lentils in cotton wool two weeks before Christmas. Seeds are watered everyday and by Christmas, they usually have shoots that are as high as six inches. These shoots are then used to surround the manger in Nativity scenes. A star is suspended over the scene of Christ's birth and figures in the scene are made from brown paper.
As a Christmas tradition in Middle East, people visit friends on Christmas morning. Coffee, liqueurs and sugared almonds are served to the guests. Festive Christmas lunch is the highlight of the holiday season celebrations and family gatherings are arranged at grandparents' home or the eldest sons' home. Traditional Christmas lunch dishes are chicken, rice and Kubbeh (a local delicacy prepared by mixing crushed boiled wheat known as 'burghul' with meat, onion, salt and pepper). |

Here's your question: What do Turks (Arabs) do in Christmas?
And here's your answer: Turks (Arabs) do "friendly and funny Fyromians" in Christmas.
You think you have fun by insulting or humiliating Turks or Arabs, do you? (*) It's obvious that you're obsessed with some nations.
But would you please tell me, what are YOU?
A Macedonian?
A Yugoslavian? (Croatian / Serbian / Bosnian ...)
or
A Greek?
No matter where you're from, its REALLY funny to hear or read such pathetic questions here! Especially from a guy/gal who lives in some "former republic of an other country"!
Once again, I ask you: DO YOU KNOW WHAT "YOU" ARE?
Sorry for this answer but you only get what you deserved and believe me, that's the most polite way.
Regards.
Volkan (Turkey)
(*) - I don't feel insulted or humiliated by the way but I don't like and can't stand racists or people who have prejudicies about a whole nation. |

First, Turks are not Arabs, but Turks.
Second, they don't do much in Christmas. The Christians in Turkey celebrate Christmas. They celebrate it with pine trees and presents and prayers.
Some minority of Muslim Turks like to go to churches too, because they like the feeling that the new year is blessed.
Christian Turks usually cook Asure ( an almost holy sweet pudding of Anatolia of all nations who lived there _wheat grains cooked and mixed with sugar , raisins, chickbeans,
beans, figs, nuts, almonds, walnuts - etc- at least 12 components) and give it to their neighbours too.
All Turks celebrate the new year.
Happy new year to you.. |

First of all, Turks are not Arab. and we have no problem with christians. and they celebrate it how they want to. i think there's no difference when you compare with other christians living in other countries. sorry but i can't get what you wanna mean |

If they are not Christian, they'll probably don't celebrate Christmas. So, they wouldn't get anything or do anything Christmas-related. |

Turks don't celebrate Christmas, we celebrate the new year and give presents to each other because its fun. Its like a tradition now. |
