Well I have been living here for close to six months and I think downtown is quite pretty but way to crowded and the streets can be a little difficult even to get around on my bike. I like a lot of parks. The one by the zoo is one of my favorates.

One thing I don't like is that so many ugly industrial things are too close to pretty parks. Like from the little mermaid or Valby park near my place you can see these ugly buildings and 2 but windmills and a landfill.

I was a little surprised when I came here at the lake of goods and services. Yes there is a Fakta everywhere but there isn't much in it. A lot of restuarants a really overpriced too.

I am impressed though with the National Museum, the Zoo, and Tivoli.

All in all I think it a nicer city to visit then to live in.

ADDED: The constant construction is driving me crazy!!

I love Copenhagen. I live about a 20 minttue car ride from Copenhagen, and I go there as often as I can.
I love the atmosphere, the old builings, the small cafés and so on.
I prefer the small side-streets over the main-street (strøget) though - it is way to crowded there.
Some of my favourite places is Tivoli, assistentskirkegården(assistent cemetary), and Nyhavn.
Only downside is that there are always so many people (you have got to have patience), and the fact that everything is quite expensive, but I guess that's just Denmark in general.
All in all I would encourage people to vissit Copenhagen, it really is a lovely city!

I lived there for the first 24 years of my life and I really miss it. København (Copenhagen) has a really nice atmosphere and bursts with history and culture.

"From Copenhagen's origin as a hamlet which hardly anyone had ever heard of to a position as the dazzling capital of the Danish Empire and to its current position as one of the world's most talked about as well as sung of cities is a colourful history.
Copenhagen is Scandinavia's largest city and its history goes way back. The reigning monarch Queen Margrethe II can trace her ancestry back to the Viking Age and that makes Denmark the world's oldest kingdom. There are evidence that Copenhagen existed as a settlement more than 6,000 years ago, but its first written record dates 1043 AC."

I highly recommend a visit!

Like it... Stuff to see during the day, Tivoli, Little Mermaid, etc...

Cost of sightseing, getting around and meals.. (if you don't drink alcohol) etc.... is not too bad

During the night there's reasonable night life... loads of bars, + a few clubs (club RUST is good) etc. But beware, as a nordic country its about £5-£6 a pint!!!

It's got one of the worst baggage handling records in Europe after Amsterdam

I've only been there once with my family. We drove across the bridge from Öresund(I live in Sweden). Anyway, I loved it. we went to Tivoli and we ate ´´pölse´´ or ´´korv´´ as we say in Sweden(if you're not from Denmark nor Sweden: I mean sausage). That was fun! I don't really have got so many memories from the visit though. I just remembered that I had a great time there.
