How could you compare other counties to this one?
Poland is unique in it's beauty, from the Northern lake district of Mazury, fantastically peaceful place, the oldest forest in Europe Bialowieza National Park, with its wonderful wildlife, to the Tatra mountains in the South.
I fell in love with a Polish girl eight years ago now and decided to move here from the UK after visiting this country and I have never been disappointed.
We married a year later and the main reason was that Polish families are so close and support each other and are so welcoming; now we have a six-year-old daughter and life is great.
Every time I travel around this country I marvel at its beauty, a memory I still hold dear was staying in the Bieszczady Mountains in southern Poland and at night time listening to the wolves howling to each other across the valleys, I ask you how many counties can you hear this beautiful sound nowadays?
So the question what do I think about Poland? Without a doubt this place is in my heart for ever :O) |

I think a lot of people think it's just sort of THERE. Not particularly interesting. I guess I sort of think that, too, but I tend to think of how it's always been the chewtoy of Europe, having been partitioned and reestablished and partitioned and taken by this or that country and then made semi-independent, then partitioned again, then made independent...no offense or anything. (I know that isn't in the right order.)
But I admire the Solidarity movement a few years back. |

I've been to Krakow, and it was wonderful. They've definitely modernized. My mom went 20 years ago, and she said it was completely different. |

I love the country. Since I live in the mountains now (CT)- the plains of my home town in Poland (in the Mazury) are beautiful. I love how on the drive from the airport (3 hrs) you not only pass the European towns, but countless fields of grazing cows and little villages with the white cranes flying around. And at night- when we are in my aunt's village home, we can count dozens of shooting stars- a sight hard to come by in CT. |

I think it's a decent country that unfortunately has swung too much to the right in the last 10 years. Kind of like a pendulum, after 40 years of communist domination. |

The capital city is boring, Wroclaw is fabulous, Krakow is okay. The roads are bad, really bad. The government's decision to install missiles for the US government is idiotic and serves no purpose for the average Pole. |
