Well, according to my personal opinion, it is lame.

What on earth is a rock band like Mor ve Otesi doing in a contest like Eurovision, anyway?

I can't believe my eyes! I had seen these guys in 2003 in Gramofon Cafe (Istiklal Caddesi) LIVE together with my ex-girlfriend. There were not performing on a stage and the ambiance was amazing!

Well, I'm more into old school jazz and not rock music but this is solid good sound.

I think that the old days of Eurovision is definitely over. Sertab's song wouldn't have won the contest either with that old style Eurovision sound.

Besides that, Eurovision is not taken seriously anymore by most of the countries of Western Europe since the Eastern European countries vote only for the East. I think a jury system would be much better. Otherwise, the countries financing the great part of the contest won't take part in the Contest anymore.

You can't really discuss about taste and colors but this song was definitely better than the actual ranking...

Edit: I know what you mean. For true jazzers Cicero's song is even not jazz (like Sinatra is not considered as jazz either; nothing against Sinatra though). The 2nd song you have posted is much better.

If a country really wants to win the contest they have to send something really special these days. Like that horrible song from Jordi (OMG!). Typical Eurovision songs with lines like 'digelee digeloo' or rigeligedingdong' are passé and won't get any votes from other countries...

It's not an original song. Just a regular pop/rock example, you can find MANY songs like this one on Mtv every 10 minutes. I wish the lyrics were Englis at least, so maybe we could get a few more points.

Yes i think you are right. That's not a real Eurovision song.. although it's better than a "limi limi ley de dibi dibi dey" kind of song, still it's not even a "great" song for Mor ve Otesi level.

Hope they will be successful but i'm not very optimistic.
