I don't recall a question or answer like that but as you said, that is stereotyping and plain ignorant.
Don't worry about such things. Remember, we believe that whomever calls him/herself a Turk, is a Turk.
Besides, the Turkish nation is a mixed with a lot of nations and races, that is why we are rich in our culture. |

I have Bulgarian Turks on one side of my family...so of course I can't hate them, or anybody else for that matter. Well, except Nazis. |

What about them? We have some Bulgarian Turks who settled down here in north Cyprus. They seem very nice. Very modern people. |

They are cute people. I had lots of students who were Bulgarian gocmeni. They are nice, what is there to say... like Turks. Very smart students. Scary smart!
PS Only one I knew drank too much ;) so that leaves all the rest who didn't.
I think I should go on record to say that I like Turkish Armenians too, again like Turks. And I like Kurds,
And Laz, FUNNY PEOPLE! And Cerkez and whoever else you've got for me. |

As far as I remember, they are usually tall and blond, charming colorful characters.. Boys are more handsome comparing to girls. Their family ties are just amazing and they have deep respect inside the family. A great cultural mix. They are mostly more focused in trade than education. Especially in Bursa, they rule the Automotive business. I had great Bulgarian Turk friends. They would call them selves Turkish but never forget their origins, in some situations they are even more Turk than the real Turks. This is what makes them decent, trustful characters in Turkish culture.
I still remember the good days in our summer house, Ayshe teyze calling us to have some Bulgarian MantI and Karpuz :)) |

I have Bulgarian friends and Turkish friends and they are all very nice. You are the first Bulgarian-Turk I meet and you seem to be very nice too! So if anyone says anything bad, ignore it and be proud of both of your cultures! |

Turks from Bulgaria are no different to me than Turks from Turkey or Turks from Xanthi or Turks from Iran. |

Great ,
Turks that drink as much alcohol as me ?
Ill be looking forward to meeting some
I saw a long queue of them renewing their visas in Izmir last time I was there. I asked my wife what was going on and she replied that allot of Turks are from Bulgaria ( I am sure she mentioned Ottoman time)
Shes very patriotic about Turkey so calling them Turks must mean they are ok. |
