they eat snail

seriously as in other European countries they have a rich history.

Even the french that migrated to the Americas have a strong loyalty to their roots and have struggled through many trial. their is just SO much.

my favorite examples of french in literature are the book written by Dumas.

my own expierience is that they seem very rude. i dont know if its just toward british people or every1 who isn,t french but thats how they came across.

Well as an English person living in France I can say they are basically nice people but have a tendancy to be a little blunt and brash. They don t know the meaning of the word"Queue" and have no spacial awareness when around others. However I ve also got some great friends who don t fit into these descriptions so I guess u can t pidgeonhole an entire nation.

The French have a great expression about themselves that goes as following. When God made France he had done such a good job he was afraid he'd make people jealous. It's for that purpose he made the French. They know they are a little arrogant and chauvinist deep down and they like that side of them. That isn't to say that they aren't friendly folks. Most of them are

they are normally rude to foreigners in general, arrogant and very smelly (not sure if the water is expensive or the perfumes too cheap). They have the best food, wines and a very sophisticated dressing etiquette. Guess nobody is perfect... (but a shower helps sometimes lol)

ALAN Q
They have a fine culture, they are obsessed with food and wine - and I can't fault them for that- but they have a problem with the English (in common with most of the rest of the world, it seems). In some ways, they are too moch like the English, so we tend not to get on sometimes. They remember us as the enemy still, much as we tend to the Germans, perhaps. They do appreciate each other, and treat women with respect, in general. They are OK.

I'm actually half French myself, and I don't think that's a very nice question to ask.

The French are way friendlier than people always say. I've been to France 2x and have always had a positive experience...but maybe that's because I don't know what they are saying to me?

They have been our nearest neighbours for a long time. They are fun, they have got a strong sense of National Identity, and they are not afraid to stand up for their way of life.

Best of all, they are BRILLIANT at knowing how to handle Americans!! Vive La France!!

The French are cool.

Saying they are weak (as in war) is not possible, either.
They have borders with Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.

In military terms, impossible to defend.
In the world wars, they have been conquered both times by a superior force, but given the geographical position, and the number of miles of border this is normal.

I liked the comment someone added "they know how to handle Americans" ! Great !

I think about the French about the same as I do anyone else, except that their political leadership is a bunch of jerks.
