I don't understand why they
can't all live together on one land
in peace, instead of one side just
keep on firing missiles at the other side.
The entire Gaza strip
was once beautiful, and that
land was good land that could of been
farmed and today be very prosperous,
it was never meant to be used
as a launch pad to fire rockets on.
Jewish people just don't
want to die, and their
government doesn't want to
to give up any land so as a result they
retaliate much harder against them,
hoping to end the violence, but
all that ever comes from it
is a massive loss of life, and 20
years later, still only more dead people
and nothing is settled.
If you ask me it would of been much more
logical to have lived in peace
with each other.

It's wrong that's what I think about it, but classic Israeli attacks...

simplifying it to some Arabs just dieing in the blast seems a bit irrational to me (from a fighter plane I think it is fairly easy to distunguish military establishments from non-military establishments such as SCHOOLS and HOSPITALS and MOSQUES)

as far as electing Hamas goes, perhaps the chronic invasion of Israel has pushed the the Palestinians towards a more radical solution.

I ll make a metaphore about the situation (and what I believe)

You lived in a house for a thousand years.Some people kicked you out (Israelis) and after 50 years they decided to give you some space to live,the WC.

BUT they have locked you there,blocking your enter,with no food electricity but YOU HAVE to pay your rent.

You react by violence and there is a ceasefire agreement with the condition to not block you anymore.You stop the violence but they dont lift your block.You respond again ,and they kill you and your family.

And then,they say that this was to defend themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To say it clear.
Israel stole the land of the Palestinians, they isolated,they blocked them,they didnt keep theor promise for lift the blockade,and when Palestinians reacted they massacred them.

Israelis blaming Hamas about hiding among civilian.

When the density of Gaza,is 4.000 people per km*2 I dont think that someone can "hide" in a non-populated area.

i dont condone the killing of innocent civillians ...but what i dont like is the mis proportionate media coverage this is getting..for instance 400 palestinans die( not on purpose)which of course is unfortunate..... and in the mean time ...millions are being mass murdered in darfur...which gets squat media coverage.
Sometimes i wonder ..why arab people are complaining so much about this and asking the world to intervene ..while all the time arabs in sudan are clearly committing a genocide...it beggars belief

I am very disapointed by Keyser and Totally Blunt's comments...
Terrorism is a crime, but what Israelis are doing is a genocide.
What is that being" politically correct" complex that makes people say sentences like "Oh let's not condemn Israel, after all they are only defending themselves against terrrorists"...???

And of course we all condemn the terrorism of Hamas and Hezbollah, the same way as we condemn PKK that attacks Turkey, but you cannot seriously compare the two situations...Why are those situations not similar? Because the Turkish Army doesn''t strike the Kurdish civilians , but only the terrrorists...While Israel forces kill,kill, and kill again over and over again any Arabs, regardless of their being civilians, children,elderly,etc...With the most advanced technology of weapons...They have no mercy when they bomb a quarter full of civilians, with tanks, with F-16 jets, with bombs that even contain uranium and phoshore... (those bombs were used in Lebanon in 2006, and they caused hundreds and hundreds of cancers even to the survivors )That is the difference...

As most of Turks, I am a friend of both Israelis and Palestinians (and also of both Jews and Arabs, in general), so I think I can tell my opinion...And my opinion is that we are living horrible moments in the Middle-East...A shame for the World and for the Humans Rights...
Hamas and Hezbullah must be eliminated, but Israel's impunity is also a terrible scandal and an inmense injustice...

I definitely agree with Vasiliki and totally disagree with Totally blunt. It was not more than 50 years ago when IsIrael settled there and now the Israeli forces the Palestinian to leave HIS HOMELAND. On the other hand, individual criminals live all around the world and im sure there are millions of similar examples of the psychiatrist example of Totally blunt homogenously all around the world. Hamas ofcourse does not represents all the palestinians, so innocent people shouldnt be killed! Does Pkk represent all the Kurds???

I think the Palestinians are right here. Israelis are greedy for land and can't share. They give the Palestinians this tiny piece of land for so many refugees. It's not fair. And whats up with so many checkpoints if anything it is going to make the Palestinians feel more deprived and get them more mad. They have a right too. Oh and I don't think many people here have heard of the Israelis raping Palestinian women huh? Of course not, the U.S. would not air that stuff on the news! U.S. is in it for the money anyways. Hamas wants to wipe out Israel from the World. This is its mission. It has triggered a total of 8000 missiles to Israel but killed only 20. Because their missiles are not very technological, they just land somewhere creating destruction at wherever they land. They kill someone driving a car leaving a terrified passenger behind, they enter from your roof destroying your new armchair and killing the grandma sitting on it and so on. Although 20 can not compare to 400, this is not about the scores of a football match. The Israelis are terrorized. It is a very technological country but it is small and narrow, only 60 kms to the sea, so they can not let Hamas leak in. So, they gave a terrible answer.
Hamas fires its missiles from the roofs or from the balconies of an apartment knowing that Israel will fire back killing the residents of the apartment . It wants the World to condemn Israel. They turn a mosque into a weapon warehouse and when Israel fires back, praying people die. All the Muslim people of the World rise up in rebellion and they have right to.
The standard Turkish citizens are not politically aware of what's going on. Seeing the faces of innocent victims in the media, newspapers and TV. , one should be a stone not to emphatize with the Palestinians. Wherever there is Hamas, Israel triggers a bomb. But the bombs kill citizens that have nothing to do with Hamas as well. Children, women die. How is Israel going to differentiate the civils from Hamas when they are interlocked together. The poor Palestinians are the victims of the games played upon them.
I hope it ends soon but the way I see it , when it ends Gaza will be left in shreds, and so United Nation's Force will come to govern Gaza so it will be good for Israel at that end, but the number of suicide-bombers will increase, even multiply and they'll attempt attacks both in Israel and outside Israel attacking Israel Consulates, jewish schools, cemeteries, synagogues everywhere in the Earth and harm lots of jews. Antisemitism will rise in Muslim countries and in European countries where there are lots of Arabs and the jews living there will have to flee. It has already started in Turkey. Did you see what has happened in the basketball match 2 days ago and are you aware of what has happened in Eskisehir ? People are getting contaminated by this disease- Hate. I can not approve of what they are doing. If you call that scenario, settling of dust , I don't know. How is the Palestinian child of today, not going to turn into a suicide bomber after seeing his parents and brothers killed by Israeli fire.? How is the Israeli child living in a country always afraid of hitting missiles, suicide bombers etc. learn to emphatize with the feelings of his Palestinian brother ? I don't know how this turmoil can stop when there is so much hate between those brother races.

Did you ever talk to an Israeli Jew? One who has lost sons and a father to Palestinian terror? One who doesn't know the meaning of security? One who is a psychiatrist and gets psychiatric help because of everything she has gone through? And that was 10 years BEFORE this bloodshed.

Palestinians have done a lot of errors in their fight. In my eyes, by killing Israeli school children, they have lost all legitimacy to a just fight. It seems to me, Palestinian leaders donot want peace and prosperity for their people. They just want the power and money that goes with being leaders. And they would do anything to achieve this.

I just can't watch the atrocities any more. And like I was afraid, this war has turned to anti-semitism all over the world. Did you read the news about the match in Alanya? Islamist mob threatening girl CHILDREN of cutting them up? 30 attacks on Jews in Europe? How can I align with that? How can I be racist?

I'll just continue being an informed reader, thank you very much.

My opinion is that i don't feel people are giving Israel the support they are entitled to.If i had to pick a side in this conflict to agree with,id pick Israel.

When i turn on the news i see all the injured Arabs being rushed to hospital,and minutes later an Arab or Muslim cleric will rile Israel and claim this is a war on Palestinian civilians and not just Hamas.These people will claim Israel is committing a genocide.

Now...here is a view that everyone should take into account when watching these lies on TV.

Israel has gone into Gaza to destroy Islamic terrorist rocket attacks.Israel is killing Arab civilians that are getting caught up in the strikes.Israel is not targeting civilians,that is absurd.However, everyday you hear Arabs pointing the finger at Israel claiming they are purposefully making a war on the Palestine civilians,and that the world should 'stop this'.

Now the other side of the coin...

How the hell in gods name can the Arabs in Gaza who ELECTED Hamas to be thier leaders have any justified opinion on killing civilians?

Jews target terrorist rocket placements.Arabs of Hamas fire rockets with the SOLE PURPOSE of murdering Jewish civilians.Do you get what im saying now?

Jews fire thier weapons on militants and some arabs die in the blast.

Hamas the leaders the Arabs put into power,target civilians and dont try to hide it?
