What do you think are the negatives of going on a holiday abroad?

Airport queues. Airline food. Transfers to resort from airport. The same in reverse coming back. I love my holidays abroad but the flying bugs me as do airports.

Sorry, I can't think of any.
To me, every part, from the preparation to the travel itself to the whole experience of another country is amazing. And I don't care if it takes me 24, 36 or 48 hours to get there, I consider the waiting, the occasional uncertainty or plain plane-boredom just a part of the experience.
Perhaps the only problem would be visas if you need them, and some embassies (UK, for example) have just insane bureaucracy and it can be a pain to submit all the paperwork in time. Still, it's all a part of the travel experience!

Benidorm or Blackpool

Benidorm is full of brittish lager louts havinng a good time in the sun and sticky vicky

Blackpool full of Old people waiting for God?

Unfamiliar medical services! I went to the US a few years ago and couldn't receive treatment for a severe throat infection without my mums signature because i was under 18. She had to fax it across.

None...you can't beat a holiday in another country...

I love going abroad, but since you asked, here are some possible downsides.
If you are worried about your carbon footprint you might not want to fly long distances. And flying is a pain anyway, with all that hanging about in airports. (On the other hand, travelling by boat or train is a wonderful way of going if you are not travelling too far.)
If you don't want to expand your mind so that you experience the local culture, sample the local food etc then you are likely to feel uncomfortable abroad and would have a better time at home.
You have to keep your wits about you as a lot of things are different (climate, hygiene, language to name a few).
None of these things would ever stop me!

It costs money to get their. It's full of foreigners. They speak strange languages and eat strange food. On the other hand, that's why you go.

My least favourite part is the travelling and stupid hours you end up at the airport part! The rest I enjoy!
