I think there are 5 essentials that makes a breakfast Turkish;
cheese (white cheese prefered)
bread (any kind)
olives (any kind)
tomatos (if possible)
and tea of course

Addition to these, I sometimes have soft-boiled egg..

Qu'est ce que tu pense?
People in Turkey eat: Sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, jam/honey, bread, sausage, olives, cheese, and eggs.
Sometimes they even eat cereal.

DejaVu
tea, bread, cheese, olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, eggs, jam or honey, fresh spreadable cream that's what I eat as I dont eat meat but there are also salamis, sausages.....also sucuk (its a bit like peperami made out of beef)

You asked about what we eat for breakfast in Turkey, some people misunderstood it I guess.
I was in Turkey two weeks ago on a tour and we had breakfast in hotels which served the same things:
white bread, dark bread, butter, jam, diff types of cheese, olives, boiled or scrambled eggs, hot dogs, salami, tomatoes, cucumbers, diff types of cereals, and of course tea and coffee.
I am from North Cyprus, where the cuisine is much the same. At home I have (in winter) a boiled egg, cheese, bread, butter, jam, tea; (in summer) tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, olives, bread, tea.
edit: I love all types of cheese but I prefer hellim, kashar, gouda (unless the white cheese is from Ezine and from sheep's milk).

hanibal
I like drinking tea with honey.

Ok, I answer...

At first, a lot of water ( mineral, such as Evian or Vichy ), with some vitamins pills ( and magnesium, zinc, etc )
Then about 50 cl of cold orange juice ( sometimes even 1 liter)
Then I sit down, and I begin to drink a coffee, with a french croissant.
Then the real breakfast begins :
At least 5 or 6 cups of teas, with french baguette ( bread ), with vegetal butter ( only 25% fat), with french camembert cheese, french bleu cheese, turkish kashar cheese, dutch gouda cheese and turkish white cheese. And also honey, Nutella, strawberry jam and chestnuts jam (it's so delicious ). Also some black and green olives. Sometimes I also add a boiled egg and some tomatoes ( the taste of tomatoes suits with cheese).
And sometimes, I also eat some cornflakes or golden grahams, with milk and a banana cut .
And if I have a little time yet before going out, I also drink a large bowl of hot chocolate....

And so then it's already 10 am, and my cell phone rings, and my boss shouts " Where are you , man ?"

O.CETIN BAYRAMOGLU
good morning positive girl;
my favorites ;white cheese, black olive, honey, and butter
with turkish tea.
In Türkiye , some people prefere to drink "tarhana çobası" for breakfast.(soup of tarhana)(tarhana :preparation of dried curds and pearled wheat)

During my month there, every hotel seemed to serve the following: White Cheese (Feta type), Black Olives, Green Olives, Tea or coffee, Tomatos, Cucumber, Bread, butter and jam, and a hard bolied egg. Sometimes there were a few other items, such as dried fruits, sometimes scrambled eggs with hot dogs cut into them.

.
As I see a standard Turkish breakfast menu includes cheese, egg and olives with tea. But I only eat fruits and cereal.

Totally Blunt
Mr.Anchor's list is the standard. Cheese and tea is a must. You can add or subtract others.

When I'm in a hurry and don't have time for a hearty breakfast, I make do with plain cornflakes or oatmeat with milk.

Oh, and if we have to have your breakfast at work, we generally eat some kind of salty dough dish we call pogaca with tea.
