who are you

Kevin N
Literally translated, it means, "What are you?" (Properly, it means "who are you" in the instrumental case). This could reference many things (such as nationality, profession, etc) but most typically refers to profession. For example, appropriate answers could include Jestem studentem ("I am a student"), Jestem lekarzem ("I am a doctor"), Jestem nauczyczelem ("I am a teacher"), etc. (Note: all my answers above are answered in the masculine).

Hope this helps! ;->
