Mykonos, Delos, Santorini, Naxos, and Crete.

Even though some are touristy like Mykonos and Santorini, you still should visit them. Each island has it's own culture and history, and vastly differs from the others. It's like going to France and skipping Paris altogether.

Just go and have fun! And don't forget your sunscreen!

I suggest you Aegean part, and Rhodes, the island of the knights, world heritage city of Unesco, with the medieval town..

santorini and mykonos!!! they are both in the clyclades group of island.

and there's lefkada with its gorgeous beaches.

and then of cos u must go see Rhodes and Crete for history.

Mykonos and Santorini are very touristy. I was looking for similar islands when i went 4 years ago. Try the island Thassos. It was exactly what we wanted.

I respect and confirm above answers, so I just try to offer an even less tourist alternative.
I just returned from the real small Island of Kythera; if you are looking for a relaxing stay, I can recommand the small town of Avlemonas.
You can reach the island with ferries from Crete or the south Peloponnese ( Gythio and Neapoli) or daily by plane from Athens airport.

Arrive in Greece, get a map and find a Greek person and start planning.
Then, get ot the boat and get off on the island that you feel! You are looking for hidden gems, thus I think you should risk while here! The more you risk the greater the profit!

Just returned after spending three days on the island of Skyros. Its situated between the island of Evia and those of the Sporades.

It was a very beautiful island, quiet, and not the classic over the top tourist island.

Very nice beaches, interesting places to see, and an island that is not so large, so you can easily explore many parts of it.

The island has an airport, and also daily ferry connections with Kimi in Evia. From Athens, there are frequent bus connections to and from Kimi.

From the suggestions of the previous answers you have plenty to see but not enough time. Depending on where you originally coming in from, I would say the Ionian Islands if your point of entry is the West . The islands of Aigina, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, if you are arriving in Athens. Crete or Rhodes if you fly internationally.
Depending on the time of arrival, I'll suggest you get a map of Greece, select one or two islands and come again with specific question. I'm sure you'll get a lot of help.
