the best is Protaras from Cyprus, its not as lively as Ayia Napa but its so beautiful & cypriots are so friendly!! Although im hoping my best destination will soon be Dubai coz im going there for my 21st birthday over xmas & its gonna be brilliant- im so excited!!

My worst is easily the Algarve in Portugal. we went in august, which is the same time when all the snooty rich portuguese people with yahts visit there and they are the rudest people i have ever met- they expected special treatment and would cut in front when theres a huge queue for restaurants- it was unbelievable, especially when us brits are so used to queuing!!!!! and to say we were in a 4* hotel, the breakfasts were rubbish!!!!,

my best holiday destination has been to Rhodes town Greece, my worst has been to Tunis, at Tunis especially at night there is nothing to do outside your hotel complex.

The worst was Callella in the Costa Brava. It was quite a few years ago and our hotel was a ten minute walk in either direction before you came to any sort of civilisation. There was also a railway line that you had to cross to get to the gravelly beach. We hired some cycles to get to the nearest town and ended up with blistered shoulders, what a nightmare. My best holiday is the Cruise which I have just returned from. Spent eleven nights travelling around the Med. The on board facilities were great and it was smashing to see seven different locations without having to live out of a suitcase, which you have to do if you are travelling around on a coach. I would reccommend it to everyone.

My best was Magaluf with my friends had the most amazing laughs and drunken nights out!!

worst was Benidorm- **** hole

Let's see...
First there's the airport fiasco. Are you ready for the insanity of traveling ANYWHERE with all of humanity? No? Stay home.

Yes? Keep going.

Are you willing to deal with crowds of people all going to the same place...meaning no matter where you go, there will be far more people than normal. No? Stay home.

Yes? Keep going.

Are you willling to pay vastly more for a hotel than the normal rate? No? Stay home.

Yes? Keep going.

Can you afford to eat out every meal...or are you willing to cook/grocery shop, and cook in a "foreign" kitchen? No? Stay home.

Yes? Keep going.

How about laundry?

Getting sick?

Safety?

Transportation?

Been there/done it all! We don't stay home :) We go to Manzanillo, Mexico. It is reasonably priced, hasn't been spoiled by tourism like other Mexican destinations, is easy to navigate (well organized bus system). I could go on and on.

Yes, the flight's still a pain (aren't they all) but once there, it's worth it. Our kids (now teenagers/adults) have ridden the buses by themselves for years. Locals are honestly kind and friendly.

My best was London because the city is so exciting and there are people there from every corner of the planet.

My worst was Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. We let our youngest pick that one. Never again! It was muddy and hot, we found nothing, and there's nothing else to do there!

EDIT: Oh yeah, and it's in a "dry county" and is surrounded by dry counties. I had to drive 1 and 1/2 hours to get a case of beer for the week!

BEST; Southern Italy. We rented a villa town house (thing..) and the village was so vibrant and alive, the food was lovely, the people were friendly, the weather was amazing and things were pretty cheap too.

WORST; Wales. Cold. Boring. Sheep.

dom .
Blackpool is a hell-hole: loads of single-sex packs of stag/hen weekenders maurauding in the hope of finding someone drunk enough to find them vaguely attractive. The last time I went there (on business) the locals had clearly given up the will to live.

Dominican Republic.Bahia Principe. It was a fantastic hotel with great staff and service, until we all fell ill, that's the whole resort fell ill and my husband was in hospital for three days. Best is Sharm in Egypt. The First Choice holiday village.

BEST!: Le Vieux Port in France.

It's a camp site and it's absolutely amazing, there's so much to do and the beach is amazing. I've been there like 4 times, hopefully 5 this August! :D

Worst...: Umm...Italy, it was a campsite again, can't remember which. But it was full of chicados (sp?) and the swimming pool was crap. I went to Rome as well and just didn't enjoy it. I was quite young at the time though.
