Ask a layman and you will know its best known for having EU headquarters in Brussels.

You may add beer, waffles, chocolate and WWII in the list. But this is pretty subjective.

Just got back from Belgium a week ago. Here is my list of several things thatthe country is well-known for:

EU HQ, waffles, french fries, mussels, Mannequin Pis, chocolate and of course BEER!!!! I tried them ALL!!!

If you like to eat- chocolate, if you like to drink- the 500 sorts of beer, if you like to see wonderful places- the Grand Place in Brussels, with the 15th. 16th. centuries buildings and the famous Maneken Piss (the statue of a Little boy).
