Depy greece!!
no there are residents there you know.. in autumn these islands are like most of the others... not crowded. there are many tourist who go there to confirm everything that is said about Greek people ,Greek culture and Greek beauty though. it's the best season. it's the best way to relax. i have read many times about writers or singers who visit Greek islands to write a novel or write songs.. none of them were dissatisfied.

Depends on what you expect and on weather conditions. The weather thhroughout the year normally is good. Regarding culture and food this is the best period to taste. Local people are more relaxed, the islands are not crowded therefore it is easier to come in contact the real Greek phlioxenia (hospitality) and culture. For what concerns boats , Santorini and Mykonos have all year round more frequent departures than Ios.
For what concerns fun there are always nice places to visit.

Well, I think greece is horrible in Automn... Visit in summer if u like sea , sun and islands...... if u prefere skiing visit in December or January... We do have spectacular mountains 2!

The bigger islands (Crete, Rhodes, Corfu) are fine in terms of places open and things to do, the weather is hit and miss, swimming is only for hardy souls. I would say places like Ios, Mykonos and Santorini are mostly shut, so it very much depends on what you are after. Maybe Mykonos is alive over the weekends but i would have thought Athenians will be heading to the mountain resorts in November. I think it's a great time to go and see archaeological sites e.g. travelling around Peloponnese and visiting Epidaurus and Olympia

If "fun" means that you want to visit bars, restaurants and meeting people, it is not the case, but if you travel for culture and food, it is the best period!
At this time, islands have come back to their normal daily routine and you will see the real life and have the chance to meet local people who will gladly invite you home for a cup of greek coffee. Food will be of a much better quantity and quality, there will be no queues at the museums or the acrchaeological sites and the beaches will be all yours, while the weather is good enough and the sea still warm!
Ios might look dead, but is not, Santorini has always visitors and Mykonos is a week-end resort for many Athenians.
I believe it's a good time to go...

November is sometimes cold and perhaps rainy, but not too much. It is still easy to walk and travel around. But the islands will be a little sdead. If you have all weather clothes and you don't mind the lack of nightlife, you can go. But there are many places to visist that are perfect for that time in Continental Greece, like Delphi, the Monastery of Hosios Lukas (nearby), Nafplio and Epidaurus, islands with a bigger population like Syros, Athens of course.

Greece, year around is fine! What is important is how each one gets affiliated with the surrounding!
Being on an Aegean island, walking bare feet, feeling the breeze of the clear and clean Aegean Sea, observing the sites, getting the energy of the first land emerged from the sea, some billion years ago, can make most people stronger and happier!
You will enjoy your presence in the middle of the Aegean, any time, as long as you are envisioning to be a part of the divine environment!
Culture is better preserved in Autumn than in summer, due to the ratio of the tourists to local people! Food is great and the fun is more real than theatrical!

no i think its very nice even then if you want to relax and have fun. if you want to have real fun go on august

Yes, they're dead. I was in Paros and Santorini last November (early) and there was NOTHING to do there. Also, the people there said that it would start raining soon and not stop for weeks. The day we left the rain started...
