Food - pierogi, kiełbasa. Pope - John Paul II, History - Lech Wałęsa and Solidarity - Poland was the first to hit the road and start normal life after years of Communism. |

Well for me, it is:
1. Jan Sobieski - saved Europe from the Ottoman Empire in the 17th century.
2. Marie Curie - two time Nobel laureate, made major discoveries in radioactivity
On a less historical note, I really like Andrzej Sapkowski's books (even though the Russian translation is probably a lot worse than the original) and Polish clothing is known in Russia for being very high-quality and made from natural materials (unlike that Chinese crap...) |

Vodka, miserable faces, sausages, gherkins, John Paul 2, skin heads (on the men generally), has the highest amount of sunbed users in the world and they love wearing denim jeans and denim jackets, oh and big moustaches.
There is nothing wrong with lots of orange people, with bald heads walking down the street dressed like they have come out of the 80's.
By the way, i'm going to Polonia on the 1st of November, All Saints Day, Tak.
I love going, a contradiction, i think not, none of these qualities in which I see in Poland are neagative. For example everybody loves Gherkins. |
