What is a good bank in Poland?

A well known one that does current accounts, loans etc? Something like the equivalent to Nat West, or Barclays or HSBC etc in England? Thanks.

Any bank that will return your money when you need it is a good bank.

To be honest the best banks I've found here are the internet banks. Try www.mbank.pl (which is in English)

If you want a High Street branch try:

LUKAS Bank (www.lukas.pl) Which I've found to be the most palitable. And you get a free coffee!

Or CITIBANK (www.citibank.pl)

In my humble opinion: Avoid BANK PKO like the plague. I queued for 2 hours there once. There where only 3 people ahead of me! However, perhaps other have had a better experience?

With Polish banks you normally pay a fee. It's not much, around 1 or 2 złoty a month and most seem to charge you for using the ATM. And if you're not a Polish citizen you'll have to have proof of work (i.e. a contract) to open one. (or at least when I moved here - but was before Poland joined the EU - so it's probably easier now)

Hope that helps.

Good Polish Banks:
Multibank (small monthly fee)
Mbank (small fee as well)

But the bad thing is you will need to wait 3 months before receiving your credit card. In one week you will receive your ATM card.

From Multibank you can retrieve your bank statement through e-mail.

But honestly, there isn't a good bank in this world.. goodluck! Czesc!
