I've never been to Europe, but I read about it constantly. I know that's no replacement, but it should be said.

Personally, the place I would want to go would be someplace off the beaten path (no Italy, UK, France or Germany), but not too extreme (which isn't really a problem in Europe). I would want to go to... perhaps Hungary. I hear the people are nice, the women are even nicer, and there are tons of unique, fun things to do throughout the nation.

Of course, my grammy is Finnish, so that has to be my official answer (Suomi!)

I think you will find that there will be a variety of answers to this question. Don't be surprised if you don't get the same answer twice =)

People's answers will depend on what their country of origin is and also where they have travelled and experienced a wonderful memory!

Personally, my feeling is that each European country has a beauty in it's geography, history and culture ... but so do all other countries in this wonder World.

Much like people .... we may all look different, come from different countries, have a variety of beliefs and faiths, but when it comes down to brass tax .... we're all humans with feelings, a need for love, sharing, acceptance and a beauty all our own!

"Home is where the Heart is". Hopefully most people will answer this question with their hearts! ; )

Not really sure what your criteria bor "best" is, but in my opinion:

Netherlands.

The standards of education is high, they have very good infrastructure. Very low crime rates and a high degree of liberty. As a nation they are also very multi-cultural and have achieved a high degree of integration of cultures that puts other nations to shame.

The people seem genuine and respect themselves aswell as others. The police are constructive, rational and even helpful. Their laws are pragmatic and enforceable. They have a healthy economy.

Its just a shame the language is so hard to learn but most Dutch are multi-lingual anyway.
