Zakynthos or Zante from the ionian islands is a really beautiful place for everyone and if you decide it I can help. My mother comes from this place and I could give you some more information. If you want to choose, have a look here:

Rhodes, not only for its monuments, sea, and beauty, but it is also an island with a calm life, even if it is overcroweded. You ll not see the extreme things that happen in other islands i mean concerning night life...Just in a part of it Fa;liraki.
I suggest you my island for holidays, you ll not regret it, and you ll be amazed by its beauties and its people...

?
Crete. It is classical and fun at the same time.

There is a nice small island called Paxos. Its near to Corfu.

There are many islands as you know but some are now spoilt with mass tourism.

There are also many nice places on the mainland to visit.

Parga also Evia. ( Island off the mainland joined by a bridge)

If you do a check on Greek islands it may help you more

If you are taking a baby its best to avoid the hot months and maybe go for mid September, also not so busy and people will have more time for you.

I have been to about 20 Greek islands and now live on one. Chios.

Take a look at www.holidaylettings .co.uk for a nice choose of places to stay.

Good luck and enjoy.

Kos has something for everyone, OK I'm biased as I live there! Tingaki is idea for families, there are a few bars but mostly restaurants in the main street, the beaches are beautiful with shallow waters so it's safe for the little ones. To avoid the crowds the best tome to come is in May June, September or October. There are plenty of day trips to go on, visit other islands, or even go to Turkey for the day. there is a water park and go karting for the children, and lovely little tavernas for the whole family, the Greeks love children, they are welcome everywhere.

There are also many places of historical interest to visit.

Feel free to email me if you need any more info.

Edit - I think OerMrs means Faliraki in Rhodes, not Halkidiki All the islands have their party resorts, Kardamena in Kos is worth avoiding in peak season.

My favourite island is kefalonia, & it has one of the best beaches in the world Mytros. There's things to do for all ages, there are bars but none are the 18-30 type none of the island has any of that.

I liked santorini but found it more expenisive than other islands & it was very windy.

Hi, Try Cyprus Protaras is an ideal area for all ages, if you go into Protaras itself a lot of the hotels are on the beach. Pernera area is a little quieter it still has the beach bars and restaurants. It's about 10mins drive into Protaras from Pernera area or 10mins on the bus it is a long walk though. If you go take your driving license they drive on the same side of the road as in UK. I go to Pernera area every year. Have a look for a Libra Holidays brochure. Good Luck Wherever you go enjoy yourselves........

Thassos near Kavala. Its green island without bars and sound. The sea is green and the sunset is beautiful.

I've been to a few Greek islands. My favourite was Corfu, and in 2001 I stayed in St. Stefanos, with my husband and 2 sons (then in their late teens).

We didn't want fish & chips, bingo, Engish bars, etc. It was quite and unspoilt then.

AVOID KAVOS (Corfu)
HALKIDIKI (Rhodes) as they're 18-30 loud, boozy places.

Trevor h
I would recommend Kos.
They are probably all OK if you avoid the 18-30 places. get one of their brochures and go to a resort that they don't.

None the Greeks are the most unhygienic people I have ever met anywhere.
