Well I would suggest London as a stop. One of the most amazing cities in the World.
Also Amsterdam is a fantastic place to visit. With traveling in Europe the best thing is to go of the beaten tourist track and experience Europe like normal people do.
The most wonderful place I have been in Europe was Southern France for it's culture, people and food
In my experience you will find the people extremely helpful
Have fun! |

The mountains in Italy are amazing. I have a friend who lives there and it is amazing. He has a mountain house, and there are streams all around. Everything is peaceful, and it is like being on a different planet. The serenity of the place is truly unbelievable, plus the food is delicious! :) Hope I helped |

You have to go to Toledo in Spain. If you are looking for a great party then you have to hit Ibiza. The time of year will dictate the best places in Europe. If you are there in the spring then you have to hit Italy, if you are there in the winter then you have to ski in Switzerland. Make sure you hit Vienna and take in the Cathedrals. |

Take a round trip. Go to France, then Spain, then Italy, then Germany, then Amsterdam (in the Netherlands), then Britain, and then back to France! It's practically a circle, just spend a couple of days in each place. If you go to the capitals, you can garuantee that you'll have easy transport. |

Make sure you visit Rome! It is a must see for every one at least once.
You can see the culture, amazing sights, amazing food, very nice ppl, good looking guys :)
If you are into the nightlife you will find it amazing there. People truly know how to have fun!
Shopping is of course great too, if that's what you like. You will not get bored there no matter how many days you will be staying there. You should go in May or June. Great weather.

Come to Cyprus!! May would be a good time to visit, as most places will just be re-opening ready for the Summer season, but it will still be quiet and peaceful, before all the summer crowds start arriving in July and August.
You might be better off looking for a holiday in Paphos; nice beaches, and plenty there to see and do! There are the mosaics near to the harbour, and of course, The Tombs Of The Kings, Aphrodites rock, and aphrodites baths, and if you want to travel a little further afield, you could maybe take an couple of organised trips to the Troodos mountains, and The Amphitheatre at Kourion.
May is a really nice time to visit, with temperatures arounds 25-28C.....being a bit cooler at night when you might want a jacket....it can get much, much hotter, and busier in the main summer months.
Cyprus is safe and friendly....i'm sure you would love it here....i live in Xylofagou, not far from Agia Napa in the east of the island. |

There really is no best place - everywhere here has it's own unique character and interesting things to see and do. It would be difficult to go wrong no matter what you choose. I've been living in Italy for about nine years and traveling as much as possible on weekends and holidays and have yet to visit anywhere that I wouldn't be glad to go back and see more of. But I've also barely scratched the surface of all the possibilities. You could be guided by your interests, or look for new and different things. There are tons of local festivals that are fascinating.
You don't have to be religious to appreciate the art and architecture of many of the churches here in Europe. If you're in Milan, be sure to go up on the roof of the Duomo - same for Notre Dame in Paris.
You might find this site useful for identifying events around Europe that are of interest to you: http://www.whatsonwhen.com/sisp/index.htm
A few places you may like - Prague (especially the castle and Charles Bridge). If you go, take the time to also visit Karlstejn Castle and Cesky Krumlov. The Netherlands - late April is a great time to visit Keukenhof with the tulips in bloom. Italy - Venice, Florence, and Rome are the obvious choices if you've never been. Cinque Terre and/or the Amalfi Coast. Munich - take a side trip to Fussen and go see Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles from there. If you're around Frankfurt, go take a Rhine River cruise. Obviously Paris if you're in France. Carcassone and Eze are great if you're interested in medieval towns.
The railroads are a great way to get around here, but there are also still a lot of budget airlines operating. The German train website is one of the better resources for finding train schedules throughout Europe: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en You can find the individual country websites by searching for "trains" and the name of the country you're interested in. These are two good resources for cheaper flights: http://www.whichbudget.com/ and http://www.skyscanner.net/ |

I'd have to say Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, and Norway. If you want legal drugs as well as a nice culture, Amsterdam would definitely be the place to go. Berlin is also a good place to go in Europe because of it's German culture. Munich would be good if your a WWII nut like me, as well as to pay your respects to those who have died during WWII. Norway, supposedly the safest country in the world, also the most beautiful in my humble opinion. Its all up to you though, tell me if you like it or not :) |

Florence, Italy
Prague, Czech Republic
Vienna, Austria
all dripping with culture and very pretty places.
London, England
just because everyone goes there....it has just about everything
Europe is an enormously varied place, so you would have your work cut out getting a decent idea of it all in 6 months of weekenders.
Imagine going from New York to Washington passing through 5 different countries all with their own languages and cultures thats kinda what Europe is like! |
