Any time , any season, since that the winter also is not so hard..It depends then what kind of tourism you want, business, ski, sun, etc..
Certainly, the best season is spring, summer, and till October in the islands there is so much tourism..Dont forget, that during a certain period, the prices will be a little bit higher, and the islands(which are more prefered during the summer) will be overcrowded..But Greece is always wonderful,every season, any time..

I'd say if ypu're not used to the heat of the summer, spring or early fall are the best times ti visit Greece.

I live in Greece and would say first May and September, then June andJuly.

I would come in June or September as you'd miss the worst of the summer heat but it will still be warm enough to swim and sunbathe. Probably a little bit cheaper too.

I don't know about "best" because I don't live there, but May was utterly beautiful: not baking hot (a consideration for places like Delos where you're out in the sun), not too cool, and the flowers were at their peak in Athens, Nauplion, Epidauros, and Naxos. There were red poppies everywhere. The sea was just a *little* cool, but not too cold for swimming.

summer!! july or end of august (cuzz middle august it so HOT!)..and also, december (x-mas) and february (its our ''halloween'' around there!)....

The best, most beautiful time to visit the mainland is, in my opinion, spring, when all the flowers bloom and the weathr's hopefully great already. Then, there is the summer, of course. Ideal for a trip to the islands, croiwded as they may be and even if the prices are somewhat higher. The summer isn't a good time to visit Athens, though, if you can't stand the heat. You see, it all depends... I say, every time is good for visiting Greece, safe maybe for the winter.

I think May, June and September are perfect seasons for all mediteranean countries.

I think the best time to travel to greece is May, June, September, October. These months the weather is wonderful, although the sun shines 12 months a year in greece.
