I started with general things, just know how to pronounce all the letters and after i learnt lots of words, vocabulary i use every day: food, clothes , colours, parts of the body etc.or things like: please, how are you, good morning, thank you etc. After this level I started to learn how to connect the words and make phrases. Grammar is not difficult, as they have only a few rules to follow, for example, French grammar is 100 times more difficult than Turkish. For the beginning, take a dictionary, a notebook and pen and learn some vocabulary, after you go on with special books and conversation guides, good luck
