I have done Eurostar, Car and Air Plane. Here is the breakdown:

- Eurostar: 2:15hrs center-to-center. Two way is about 150-300 Euros depending on the fair. Go to Eurostar.com

- Car: 5hrs. Very expensive, since you'll pay 200 Euros or more for gas, and then the two-way train trip will be 100 Euros (boat trip would be slioghtly cheaper).

- Plane: Cheapest if you take the subway to the airports. British AIrways flys from Heathrow to CDG, CityJet goes from London City to CDG, EasyJet goes from Luton/Stansted to Orly. Assuming you do not take the cab, and consider all different airlines, you'll probably find the cheapest tickets this way.

I recommend you take th train since it is priced very competitively and will save you a great deal of time.

Coach and Ferry.

Max Power
EasyJet - but you have to take a train out to Stansted airport and then the a two hour bus ride from the airport into Paris. Unless you can maybe find a cheap weekend rate on the TGV which is much more convenient.

it would be tuff to walk... i'd say walk - swim - walk... thats probably the cheapest way.

Fastest = Plane
Cheapest = Car and/or Boat

Knownow't
I would think Coach or Ferry, but you can get a reasonable cheap seat on Eurostar which takes you more or less door to door......

Train

become friends w a guy who has a private jet

mareeclara
for plane try skyscanner.net
for bus try eurobus or nationalexpress.co.uk
for train...well I'm not sure if this is the cheapest option but eurostar.

You can get some cheap flights at times but some bus fares can be good if you get the right times!!! but its signiicantly longer to do

You can swim the channel, if you make it alive you might just get some money from it doing commercials and such!
