the term Česko is an artificial word, that is NOT preffered by THINKING czechs. it was created similar to the Německo /germany/ Polsko / poland/ and other countries.
Besides, the Česko is derogatory, since it clearly omits the Morava, ans Silesia regions.
the only Czechs who prefer Česko to "Česká republika" are those who are not able to understand words with more than two syllabes. |
