What is the exact location of the country Macedonia?

Laoplanos
Macedonia has been divided by Balkan states after the Bucharest treaty 1913 among Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece.
Only the former Serbian part achieved independence during the WW2 and after 1944 become a federal state in former YU federation. Independent country after 1991.
The smaller part is still under Bulgarian rule, so called Pirinska Macedonia, capital Blagoevgrad.
Aegean Macedonia is still occupied by Greece. Greece after the defeat in Asia Minor by Turkey, in 1923 settled 650000 Greek refugees from Asia Minor into Aegean Macedonia. Greece has changed the ethnically balance in Aegean Macedonia by ethnically cleansing the Macedonians.
Greek newcomers and colonists in Aegean Macedonia are afraid of losing the properties and THEY deny Macedonia to enter the EU.

Macedonia is not a country, it is a region in northern Greece, Thessaloniki being its capital.

Maybe you mean FYROM (Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia), that country is between Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, and Serbia.

Vasiliki-Βασιλική
In Utopia, because there is no country named that way.Only a region and its inside Greece.

Not really sure how to describe it... it's just north of Greece.

♥AngeliC spirit♥
Macedonia is the largest and second most populous region in the north of Greece. It includes cities like Serres, Katerini,Kavala and Thessaloniki.
Beautiful landscape, homeland of Alexander the Great
If you refer to FYROM as Macedonia you are wrong, very.
Proof: Alexander the Great was Greek and spoke Greek. Everything from ancient Macedonia is in Greece! There is one Macedonia and that Macedonia is 100% GREEK!
Everybody, who has some knowldge of history, knows that FYROM(Skopje) is an artificially created country~

Republic of Macedonia is a landlocked country on the Balkan Peninsula. It borders Serbia (and Kosovo) on north, Bulgaria on east, Greece on south and Albania on west. By 1991 it was one of the six republics of Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia. All six of them are today independent countries.
