The most frequent word in Greece.
Same as "Vlaka", "gamoto" and so on.

Fernanda
The actual meaning of "malaka" is "wanker" but it is normally used to describe somebody as an "asshole". Also, young guys very often use it in everyday language to call each other but without misunderstanding.

Μαλάκας means masturbator or wanker.

Archer1
The actual meaning of the word is "malthakos" - meaning soft, flabby , then this word was used for people who masturbated because it is believed that too much masturbating causes "malthakotita" self-indulgence. Today it's a word used for offen ding someone or to simply call a friend like that to joke.

helleneda
It actually means wanker, but it is used to describe someone as an asshole.
Though, its being used by the youngest,to call each other and its kinda became like "dude"

It means anything from wanker to buddy, depending on the context, the age group and the situation..but definitely not gay.

krabsalade
bastard, or a$$hole.

Karolinara
Malaka is a word you will not find in any Greek dictionary. It is however one of the most frequently heard words in Greece!
If you ask any Greek what it means, they will invariably say it means "Wanker". The word is used in everyday conversation by most Greek men (it is for many greeks socially unacceptable to hear women say it although more are doing so). Depending on the intonation 'malaka' can mean a great insult or.... a term or endearment!!! As a term of endearment, it is normally only said amongst friends or familiar company who you know will not take offence.

Hope this helps.

demoune
