Vergina - Poms is a racial slur on English (along the same line as 'wop, chink, paki, wog, yank' used by our distant relatives 'Australians'
I suggest you stay in your own country and avoid the 'Poms' or even better - go to London - half your country lives and works there!
How come it's allowed to use a racial name about English and no one blinks an eye but you can't call other nationalities by 'racial' names?
You can stay away from Preveza because you'll find this angry 'pom' there! .......

I beg to differ - Pom is derogatory - just because you say not doesn't make it correct. Many people call Pakistani people 'Paki' which doesn't make that correct either! We are British - just as you called people from Germany - German - and people from Italy - Italian! Why didn't you use Wop and Kraut instead - like you used 'pom'? Same thing!
If British people went to stop this 'name' then they must have found this offensive - and just because Australians don't find it offensive (as it's not directed at them) does not make it ok!
You are offended by Gordon Ramsey's swearing (where you could just switch off the tv) but not bothered by your name calling!

Greeks use to go everywhere in greece,they use to choose a different island every year,me for example, i went to skopelos,skiathos and corfu-parga the last 3 years.Halkidiki has a lot of greeks as well.But,of course you are going to meet germans italians as well and english in greek islands,they use to come here a lot.

i don't know what Greek island the Greeks visit in august, i love Greece and i am going there on my holidays this year, i am one of the English people that you call poms, i am all so reporting it.

On the 15th of August the most popular is Tinos. That is on account of the Church commemorating the Assumption of Our Lady Virgin Mary.
During the rest of the month and the year, Santorini and Myconos are the two most visited islands. The reason being, they have become fashionable for a short visit or weekend escapes.
