What is the origin of my first name?

Hello, my dad had a very good turkish friend and he either named him after his turkish family name or a turkish name of his liking, although I don't know its meaning. Is it turkish and what does it mean? Thank you.

Yaraq

I think your mother named you after the thing he most desired at that moment

Thomas H
It was an old, Turkish military term meaning Dagger, but this has a rude meaning today.

The name is also Hebrew, it is a verb meaning to spit. It is also used in reference to herbs, herbage, vegetables or garden greens.

Hahahah, why, people are avoiding answering your question. It means "male organ" in slang. I bet you already knew it.

HA HA HA . My wife is Turkish and she reliably informs me that your name is bollocks as we would say here in England. Or testicles Or Balls, Gonads. Whatever.. It is spelt Yarak not Q as someone pointed out there is no Q in the Turkish language. I think your dad had a good sense of humour. You were probably a big bollocks baby.

What I heard about that name is, Polish people use it as a boy name. One of my Polish friends told me, it was his friend's name and he was in an English class with some Turkish students. So, poor boy learnt what is that mean in Turkish :(
There are also some lovely Turkish names but their meanings in English are awful :)

It could be a Hebrew word, which, depending on pronunciation and context could mean many things.
