Giblets are the edible internal organs of the turkey, such as the liver or heart. Most people eat these organs by either making them into a giblet gravy, pie, stew or stuffing.
You cannot find giblets at the grocery store, because the butcher has already thrown them out of the turkey. If you wanted to buy giblets, you'll have to either shoot your own turkey or go to a certified butcher shop (although most might not have it either). You also have to realize that not many people in the US like to eat giblets, so it's hard to find a store that will sell them to you. |
