It's kinda hard to describe what they look like. I guess if you're Polish, you can just kinda tell which people are Polish. But most Polish people have a really classy style, you don't see too many people walking around in sweats. Actually, come to think of it, I really haven't seen anyone in sweats for the whole year I've been here. Expect for maybe homeless people...
It really depends on where in Poland the person's from. If they live in the country, they look a lot different than someone from the city. Polish women are very beautiful. Lots of Poles have brown or blond hair. Natural redheads are rare in Poland. There aren't too many overweight Poles. There are a lot more than there used to be though.
Personality wise, Poles are hardworking, generous, open. They don't care as much about germs or stuff like that.
A lot of people think Poles are thieves and dumb, but that's completely not true. |

I have seen a lot of blond and light brown haired Polish people in my life. However, there really is no "stereotypical" way a Polish person looks or acts. They are very good natured, and like having a good time. |

everybody beats up on the Poland. They have been occupied by several different enemies over the years.
That is all it is.
When I was in Krakow, Poland last month, we were outside talking and started hearing lots of explosions but didn't see any fireworks and the joke was made that they were being invaded again.
Turns out there were fireworks. |

I'm married to one! He can be easy going and good hearted, but they like to tell you what to do! They can be bossy and think they know whats best for you. You just have to stand up for yourself and do what you think is right, and don't let them push you around! My Mother in law was a good woman, meant to be very helpful, but could be annoying with all of her advice! I'm not to fond of their food either, but there is good and bad in every nationality. |

It depends where you are and who you ask, I think. I am in the mid-United States, and here, the stereotype depends on whether or not you have a Polish name, or are of Polish extraction. For non-Poles (and my name ends in "..ski", so I've experience here), Polish people are the subject of some very condescending jokes. If, by chance, you are Polish, your stereotype of yourself is of a hard-working, mostly middle-class individual who (probably) came over from Europe to make a better life for yourself and your family. |
