There are two possible answers.

1) The country:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TurkeY
2) The bird:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_%28Bird%29

As you wrote the question without a capital "t", I suspect you mean the bird but then I don't know why you asked the question in the travel section.

I guess that you are Turkish from your nickname, Seçkin.

Turkey has 2 meanings in English. First one, you know, the English version of Türkiye..And second one is 'hindi'..

Bu anlamları 'ayıt edemeyen' veya 'ayır etmek istemeyen' bazı yabancı arkadaşlarımıza önlem olarak Turkey yerine Türkiye kullanırsak daha güzel olacağına inanıyorum.

Turkey is a bird that most people have for xmas dinner. It is quite tasty if well cooked. I hope you will see and taste one next month.

a bird i am going to eat on thursday

A bird. You shoot it, pluck it, skin it and bake that thing at 350 for like 4 hours. Sometimes you shove stuffing in it's butt. Either that or it's a small country near the mediteranian.
