My favorite is Brasov, Romania. I've heard that Prague in the Czech Republic is one of the prettiest cities in Europe. I also enjoyed Budapest Hungary the last time I was there. |

Almost every city in Europe is unique and beautiful(unlike US), speaking as an European. To name a few, Moscow, Venice, Lake Garda(the whole territory), St. Petersburg, Verona. So happy to be European. Every city is Unique. |

each of the cities i visited had their own beauty and specialty, which makes it hard to choose...
to name my 3 favorite ones, it would be
- helsinki (finland),
- sevilla (spain) and
- geneva (switzerland).
they're probably not the ones usually considered in a best of but after you've visited them, you will be glad you did so.
i think they represent their countries very well but still have their very own qualities that make them stand out from the other cities in those countries. |

My favourite city in Europe is Paris. I was there for a few weeks in 1983. I loved it. I loved the antiquity, the architecture, the sidewalk cafes, the clubs, the pastry shops, the museums, the artists on the Left Bank. The city never sleeps. We stayed at a tiny hotel just off the Champs-Elysées. It was so quaint. The elevator was like a black cage but did not go to the very top floor where our room was. We had to walk the last flight. The windows were huge and there were shutters both inside and out. All night long you could hear live music (mostly really nice) coming from apartments nearby. Then, getting up early in the morning, the street cleaners (not trucks but people) would be out cleaning the sidewalks and people would be going home from night on the town and you could go to the corner pâtisserie shop and have a croissant and coffee. The coffee was served in a huge cup and was very strong. Most of the people were very, very friendly to us but some of the waiters could have been a little more polite!
Paris, I love it! |

London is terrific. Easy to navigate through the Tube or by foot. Museums are free and theatres are quite inexpensive. Check the ticket stalls in Leicester Square. 'The Mousetrap' World's Longest Running Show -fun and cheap! Remarkable eating from the pubs through the expensive. For the 'real deal' give Porter's in Covent Garden a shot. The Tower Bridge offers a lift to the upper levels with amazing views. Beautiful parks, amazing history, and endless possibilities! Nice people, never a dull moment, and quick snacks at Tesco just off Trafalgar Square. You won't be disappointed. Went for Xmas 2004-returning Summer 2006! |
