Greece is the place to go! There are so many islands, the coastline is twice the coastline of Africa, so many things to do, food is awesome, people are friendly and know how to have fun...
I would reccommend Greece, if you wanna prty go to Mykonos, Paros or Santorini. If you want a more chilled out holiday, go to Milos, Zakinthos, Skopelos... |

Greece (especially the islands!)
The sun is hot, the sea is blu, the people are friendly, the food is good and the views are idyllic.
What more could you want?!
(and I agree with Mattie, the culture and history is out of this world!) |

1. Spain
2. Italy
3. Greece
All the countries I mentioned are great, so you won't make a mistake whether you decide to go to Spain, Greece or Italy (or somewhere else). Spain is a great country for going out ( great clubs and discos), it's full of young interesting people and the atmosphere is competely cool... If you go to Spain, you must visit Barcelona, Madrid and Canarias Islands ( Ibizza - if you like partying untill the dawn, and Mallorca - if you like clean sandy beaches and crystal sea...) Italy is similar to Spain, just with a slight difference between people. Italians are... Italians! :) And if you like swimming, sightseing, eating gyros ( Greek speciality ) and enjoying yourself with really outstanding and pleasant people, you should deffinitely go to Greece. So, it's up to you. These are just the basics. But I think it's not that important where you are going to. It's important who you are going with! Keep that in mind! |

in Europa? Well I must admit I've never been to one of Saturn's moons (and if it's Jupiter and not Saturn I'll look like a fool) ;-)
In Europe however, my fave is Germany. Its a great country to visit. Great countryside, great cities, great food, great beer, great wine, great people, great girls, great girlfriend. All great!
Second would have to be Romania.
Its different enough to be truly interesting, similar enough to not be a total culture shock, cheap enough to not be a wallet shock, and in terms of pure contrast, within its own country let alone with the rest of Europe is amazing,. Plus it has some top notch sights to see, a varied and colourful history, friendly people, and a train service that will either have you laughing in glee as you relaise you never pay the same fare twice for an identical journey (yes, there is a little corruption) before realising you're accidently on the 'personal' train that goes very very slowly and itll take you 6 hours to do a two hour journey, or crying very long and hard before deciding to play as James Bond in one of the carriages with your crazy Swiss flatmate. Happy days... |

Switzerland because the people in general are clean, polite and welcoming to visitors. The who;e country looks as if it gets washed and dried every day. No litter or rubbish about.
The countryside is wonderful and the mountain areas are just stunning.
Contrary to popular belief it is not an expensive destination as basic food prices are comparable with the UK. Petrol is about 12 pence a litre cheaper and stay in a good hotel half board for as little as £32 per person per night.
Been back 3 years running and there is always something new to do. |

Turkey! (thank you for specifically including it in your question!)
Because it's huge, varied, interesting, beautiful, historic etc
Where else in Europe can you swim from a golden beach on the Mediterranean coast and ski in the same day? Where else was the home of two of the seven wonders of the world and has an amazing array of historical sites to visit, including the oldest city in the world? Where else can you see the resting place of Noah's Ark? Where else can you experience two continents in a single city?
Turkey has everything from modern culture and architecture to beaches (on 4 different seas) to mountains that are snow covered all year round to places that still welcome visitors as honoured guests....
I could go on and on. I chose to live in Turkey 13 years ago, I don't regret it. That says it all. |
