What is your opionion about the Dutch Language?

Which people say that?
Are those the same people that claim English isn`t a global language by any chance?

It`s the language of the country - and it is somewhat difficult for non-native speakers to learn - but not impossible.

I think that those people that say that any language is useless, are dumb themselves, but well.. who cares about them anyway?

I just love it, though I prefer English. Most native Dutch people who are bilingual prefer the other language, because what you grow up with just seems boring compared to other languages.

Let me say if you are interested in the country and its culture, you will sooner or later fall in love with their language. Dont judge it so casually.

honestly when compared to English it seems harsh and difficult to learn and the matter that the time and effort you consume to learn it isn't equal to its usage adds to the drama as only around 20 million people speaks dutch in the whole world and even dutch themselves prefer to speak in English with foreigners and even sometimes to each other. anyway but when you choose this place to live in, to find work, to study then you need to learn it in order to obtain your goals,afterall it is necessary to learn it to set up a better communication with the natives which will eventually help you live a happier life.

Baie mooi, Ek praat afrikaans en die taale is andelik en ek kan baie nederlans verstaan.

I am Welsh but Afrikaans is my second language then English then German, Welsh is my first.

I practically can speak Dutch omdat ek is vloiend in Afrikaans. But dutch is a bit different like in Afrikaans we say

Vergeeft, and it's pronounced Vergieft, but in Nederlands its pronounced VergÃ¡ft.

I love dutch ja ek hou van jou . It's lovely a very poetic language and easy to learn.

Sorry, and don't blame me. But dutch or flemish is considered to be a throat illness, that's what German stand-up comedians tell. I don't believe it. allthough I have difficulties to pronounce the "g" "ch" or "r" in the Dutch Language.

Dutch is the greatest language in the world. I'm proud to be Flemish. And even though I will probably go and live in America, I will still teach my kids Dutch, cause it's something to be proud of.
It's also a convenient language, we have no strange accents so when we talk other languages you can hardly tell where we're from. And how many people in the world learn to speak 4 languages before the age of 18, hehe.

Well, that's sweet.
It's just that we live close to English(Nice language)
France(beautiful language)
And germany(gorgeous language)
So, we can't help comparing all he time.
But I've heard other people speak highly of it as well.

I think it's one of the cutest languages I've ever learned; the vocabulary is like childplay with English words. I even like hearing it, though a lot of people thinks it's harsh with the back-of-the-throat sounds they make.

In which nationality belonged those who said that it's useless? As for the Dutch who said that their own language sucks, this is indeed a strange case..
