Almost none. On those roads that do have check points they only make sure you have identification papers, not necessarily a passport. This is similar throughout Europe. It is about the same as going state to state.

Both are EU countries so there will be no border controls between the two countries.

You can usually just drive through but you should carry some form of ID normally your passport.

Chantal D.
When you drive to Belgium or Germany you have to have at all time your passport/identity card with you and when you drive a car driving licence & board documents.

Depends on your passport. If you are EU, none whatsoever. If you are a non EU passport holder then you hae to have a multiple entry Schengen visa.

David W
You probably won't even notice the border. You just keep driving. But you need to carry documents for yourself and your vehicle in case the police in either Germany or Belgium want to check.

outtahere
none.
